1968 Electric
GoKart: made from a heavy duty rolling frame, a Ford starter motor
with centrifugal clutch, big taxi battery and a custom knife blade
switch fabricated by flattening copper tubing.
Motorcycle
battery was added later for powering some running lights. Would
occasionally increase the fun factor by simply installing a 7/16"
bolt and nut in the clutch, effectively giving you the direct
drive capability to lay a 4 inch wide by 5 foot long patch of
rubber from a standing start from those wide tread-less slicks.
Too much fun!
